For over twenty years, Pete Smith has been designing and building innovative, high performance goaltending equipment.
Since 1987, Smith has designed and built gear for many top NHL goalies including Darren Puppa, Billy Smith, Tim Thomas and two time Stanley Cup champion and Olympic medalist, Tom Barrasso.
In the 1980’s, Smith designed for Vic, Aeroflex and his own Smith Hockey brand. In the 1990’s, Smith Hockey became the main focus until 1999 when Vaughn Custom Sports hired Smith as their product designer.
After a highly successful stint with Vaughn, Pete Smith is once again designing and building equipment under the Smith Hockey brand.
Over the last five years, Smith Hockey has continued to be a leader in goalie equipment innovation and has built a global clientele of satisfied customers.
